Our 6th event marked 1 year of East of England Sustainable Building Network.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and thank you to Christopher Gaze from the Future Homes Hub for delivering a brilliant and engaging presentation on the Future Homes Standard. Our speaker shared an introduction to the Future Homes Hub and what they do. As well as the aims of the Future Homes Standard, and when they think they will have an announcement. He touched on what is expected to be seen in the standard, including fabric, heating, and solar panels, information about embodied carbon, and where to go for help and advice.

Chris’s talk sparked a room full of discussion around upcoming changes to building regulations, the evolving requirements for new homes, and their implications for areas such as solar and EV installations and U-values.

It’s always inspiring to see so many professionals come together to share knowledge and ideas around sustainable design and construction.
